15 Beauty Trends That We’ll Seriously Regret After 20 Years

With all the wave around fashion trends and beauty hacks now a days, it’s not surprising that there are some things that we might want to think again

Here’s a list of trends that we might not find so hot after 20 years from now.

1. The Kylie Lip Obsession

Some girls took the big lip thing a little too sriously, leaving semi-permanent damage to their lips and permanent embarrassment online. After 20 years, I have a feeling some of these girls will regret posting their Kylie looks.

2. Excessive Contouring.

Another trend that we can blame the Kardashians for is the magical dark art of highlighting. After being hyped a little too hard on Instagram, some beauty tutors have taken highlighting to the next, regrettable level. We’ll definitely be cringing about those carved cheekbones in the future.

3. Excessive Highlighting.

I seriously don’t get that why girls on Instagram had to take a good thing like looking like a literal shining angel and turn it into…well, this. I don’t think anyone will be showing their children evidence of a time when their nose put Rudolph to shame.

4. That Whole Yeezy Moth-Ate-My-Clothes Trend.

I’m seriously hoping that after 20 years, this horrible hole-in-shirt trend will be the type of thing that we’re too embarrassed to even talk about.

5. Mom Jeans.

Seriously, why did these ever return? Please go back to the ’90s and be there. I have a dream of a future 20 years from now where everyone will wear pants that actually flatter their figures instead of making them look like actual blobs.

6. Power Brows.

You all know what I want to say, when I say “power brows.” It’s those sharp, extremely black, gradient brows that everyone thinks are the most impressive thing out there.

7. Applying Makeup With Anything Other Than A Makeup Brush.

If I see one more beauty tutor put her foundation on with a condom or any other strange object, I will lose my mind. Girls, we get it, there are alternate options to makeup brushes — that doesn’t mean you should go out and try them all.

8. Crop Tops.

Especially crop tops with horrible slang words prints on them. Exhibit A: #SWAG . This trend will probably be one of the embarrassments of our generation. We get it, you’re liberated and can show as much skin as you want, but not everything needs to be a crop top.

9. Chokers.

Here’s one more trend that’s pretty self-explanatory. This might be cute now, but I just have this feeling that in 20 years, people will look back and say, “Wait a second, is the girl on the right wearing an actual dog collar?”

10. Furry Shoes.

This faux fur obsession probably won’t last for long time. There’s something is impractical about these fluffy slides. I’m sorry, but I just feel like in 20 years, people will be wondering why everyone tried to get away with wearing house slippers out in public.

11. Coffin And Stiletto Nails.

Now We have to accept, this is a trend that I am totally on board with right now. I have a deep feeling that in 20 years, I’ll be the first to say, “What on earth was I thinking?”

12. Those Big Clear Lenses.

I seriously wonder who was the first person to pick up Grandpa’s old  glasses and say, “Wow, this is so nice. Let’s upload it on Instagram!”. That person was wrong, by the way. Or at least, that’s what everyone will be thinking in 20 years when they see how useless this look was for blocking out UV rays.

13. The Man Bun…Hopefully.

This trend was nice for about five seconds, but for some reason, people are still holding on to this one. I just know that in 20 years, all of these guys will be wondering why they didn’t cut the knot sooner

14. The Marble Pattern Obsession.

via

For some reason, people are really loving the marble pattern in 2017. But After few years, we’ll be thinking how typical it was of us to pretend that literally everything was made out of marble…even ice pops, seriously.

15. Thigh-High Socks And Boots.

I’m wondering how long this trend will go because it’s so hot right now, but then again, so were wedge flip-flops at one point. I really am curious if this fashion will be a regrettable one, but something tells me we won’t be crazy about this look in a couple decades.
