It was reported that an actress has filed a case against him. Well, it was disclosed that it’s Melissa Schuman, who has filed a case against him. The case is being reviewed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Schuman revealed it publicly!
Melissa Schuman had publicly revealed the incident from a post made by her in November. She had registered a complaint against him in February. The #MeToo movement had empowered her to come forward to speak about the incident.

Back in November 2017, she had posted that “Forced to engage in an act against my will”. She mentioned that this incident took place in his apartment. She even claimed that he assaulted her. When this incident took place, both the actors were busy shooting for ‘The Hollow’.

Carter has dismissed all the allegations. “I am shocked and saddened by Ms. Schuman’s accusations,” he said in his statement. “Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that, anything we did was not consensual. This is the first that I am hearing about these accusations, nearly two decades later. It is contrary to my nature and everything I hold dear to intentionally cause someone discomfort or harm.”
