Dua Lipa Cries As She Is Forced To End Concert Early Due To The Risk Of PERMANENT Ear Damage
The 'New Rules' hitmaker Dua Lipa was left in tears while performing at one of her concerts on Tuesday night. The singer was forced to stop a show mid-concert due to health risks.
The pop star was performing in Denver when she tearfully walked off stage.
Dua Lipa was forced to cancel a gig after three songs last night (June 26) due to fears she could permanently damage her hearing.The star is currently on tour in the US and was performing at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium when she had to stop the show.
The singer apologized to her fans with teary eyes.
According to sources, Lipa broke down in tears as she told fans: “I really tried to push through for this show, I wanted to give you guys a really good show. I feel so bad for letting you guys down because I can’t possibly or physically do it and this is not the kind of show I want to give you guys.”
However, the star promised she will be back again.
She continued to apologize, saying,” So I’m so, so, so sorry, but I’m not going to continue tonight. I will be back. I’m so sorry. Thank you so much.”
The singer later explained why she had had to pull the show in more detail via Twitter.
“I’m so very sorry to have had to stopped tonight’s show,” she wrote. “I’ve had an ear infection for the last couple of days. I thought I would be able to pull through, but it was quite painful and I was advised that if I carried on I could cause permanent damage to my ear.
She also promised everyone that she will reschedule the show.
“I feel so sad to have disappointed you guys,” she added. “I really wanted to make it through the show for you. Please hold on to your tickets, I am working on rescheduling the show.”
She also thanked her fans for their support.
In another post, Lipa wrote: ‘You guys did make my night though.’ Currently, the New Rules hitmaker’s next concert is on Friday in San Diego, but it’s not yet known if Dua will be well enough to perform.
She’s been working tirelessly since the release of her hit self-titled debut album.
Meanwhile, her father is putting on his own music festival in her hometown of Prishtina, Kosova this summer. Lipa will headline Sunnyhill Festival alongside Action Bronson and a to-be-announced DJ.
