The 26-year-old became an internet sensation after videos emerged of him pulling off daredevil stunts from the rooftops and scaffoldings of some of the world’s tallest buildings.

Wu had built a following of over 1 million on the live-streaming video site, ‘Volcano.’ He had uploaded 300 odd videos onto his page and had performed 217 live-streaming sessions, each of which earned him a sum of around 55,000 yuan (£6,000).
