NOTE: This article may contain spoilers, right up till episode 5 of season 8 but you should have seen it by now anyway. So let the war begin!
The semi-finale episode of the iconic TV show, Game of Thrones, was allegedly a great disappointment for the fans who have been following the show right from the commencement.#
They released a petition that demands the remake of the latest season and nearly one million fans signed the petition.
Also, thanks for the destruction of the character arcs.
Weiss has been blamed for the massive degradation of the character arcs. “The Bells” has gotten the maximum views in the season and yet the fans are disappointed in the character transformation of Daenerys Targaryen into the Mad Queen, a raging, mad ruler, just like her father.
Well, in the end, Daenerys proved that she is a Targaryen.
After Dany’s standoff with Cersei, she precisely burned the Greyjoy fleet in the sea, the Golden Company, and the Lannister army including the scorpions that killer her dragons. And then, the people and the Lannister army surrendered. But she showed no mercy and ruthlessly burned the entire city.
The fans have a question on why would she would do something like that when in the previous season she quoted “I am not here to become the Queen of Ashes.”
…which led to trash talking and trolling…
The directors were trolled by the outrageous fans. The fans had expected highly of the season and became angry, really angry when the expectations were not met. They even said that the HBO hit’s eighth season must be remade with “competent writers.”
And now, the Watch has unsatisfactorily ended.
We all know that in ending a show as massively popular as Game of Thrones, there’s no possible way that the showrunners could please everyone. But after the fiery events of the penultimate episode, “The Bells,” people have apparently had enough of seeing their favorite characters’ storylines swing in unexpected directions.
What did a few parents have to say about it?
“I understand it’s GOT but don’t trash 8 yrs of character building for what they think will shock and awe us,” one upset fan said.
“The last season was supposed to be about killing characters, not killing their story arcs,” another wrote.
“It’s not that hard to do better than this!” one user exclaimed.
To this revolt, D&D responded by saying…
D.B. Weiss: “At some point, if and when it’s safe to come out again, somebody like [HBO’s GoT publicist Mara Mikialian] will give us a breakdown of what was out there without us having to actually experience it.”
David Benioff: “I plan to be very drunk and very far from the internet. ”
David Benioff drinks but doesn’t know things, I guess so.
