In today's world, Love doesn't discriminate sex, race, or any other thing! It's a mysterious feeling that slows down everything when you see him/her. I know the feeling not because I was, it's because I'm in! Let's know about the first gender marriage in Taiwan!

The tears of joy were witnessed through every gay activist’s eye. The freedom of loving anyone legally was subjected on 17th May 2019. It’s the first country to legalize same-gender marriage in Asia. So, let’s get some insights over the first same-gender marriage in Taiwan.

Guys, meet the first couple!
Shane Lin (L) and Marc Yuan were the first same-sex gender marriage couple in the Taipei’s Xinyi District Household Registration office. The office was overwhelmed with the in house and foreigner reporters to witness the marriage!
What did the couple say about the process?
Jennifer Lu, the chief coordinator of the Marriage Equality Coalition Taiwan said that they had to keep the media at the bay as they wanted that the couple who are coming for the registration to have some space. While the couple didn’t officially comment but they were preparing for their marriage even before the law passed!
The couple got married on their tenth anniversary! They fell in love in the college and were holding strong each for a decade! “When it comes to equality and human rights, everyone should be the same. Why should our marriage be given a different name?” said Lin. Well, they are waiting for another law to come! Yes! But what’s that?

The couple wants one biological and one adopted child down the lane. “We hope that Taiwan can quickly enact a law to allow surrogacy. Another thing which is most important is that we can have the same rights and privileges as heterosexual couples in adoption,” Lin said. He also added that Taiwan will keep progressing and in the future, there will be more amendments.
