The 25 years old Charles Hammerton from Falmouth in Cornwall lost his mother, adopted mother, and his best friend in a period of one year. I can’t even imagine the amount of pain he had to go through! To overhaul his life, he quit his job in the Royal Air Force and sold his possessions to travel the world.

He sold his possessions and went on an adventure with his pet.

Charles sold his possessions which included three cars that got him a total of $19.5K which was enough for him to buy a camper van and head out an amazing adventure. He traveled around Europe with his beloved rescue pet ferret. Bandit.

He told the outlet that traveling with Bandit was easy as “Just like a dog, he had a lead, collar and walked for miles which is quite unique to ferrets. When he got cold, he’d jump inside my jacket, or if he was hot he’d splash in the water!”

In March 2017, he lost his mother who was just 53 and his best friend Will Moss passed away at the age of 22. In the same year, he adopted a mother who died from a heart attack. “It was horrible for me but I didn’t want to get into a rut because of it all. I did think about killing myself a couple of times. I didn’t know where to turn. It took a lot of courage for me to do what I did,” he revealed to the sources.

He had rescued Bandit from an animal sanctuary in 2015 and the pet stayed with him through his thick and thin. However, just after a week of returning to England after his travels, Bandit passed away. Over his time with the ferret, they raised a lot of awareness for mental and mental charities.
