We believe that an episode to come could show a time-travelling Bran – now the all-seeing Three-Eyed Raven – warg his way into the man who became the White Walker’s leader, in a bid to prevent the Children of the Forest from ever creating the army of the undead.

What is Bran Stark up to?

Other than making wholly inappropriate comments about his sister, and giving poor old Meera a less than satisfactory goodbye, he’s been pretty quiet. However, a new theory about the young Stark boy’s true identity has proved very interesting – and very plausible. Bran is no longer Bran but the Three Eyed Raven

People are claiming that Bran could actually be the Night King, aka leader of those terrifying White Walkers.

The theory begins with Bran traveling back in time in an attempt to warg his way into the body of the man who the Children of the Forest stabbed in the heart with dragon glass. This man would become the Night King, so Bran would be time traveling to stop this from ever happening in the first place.

What is DragonGlass?

Dragonglass is a volcanic glass that is very handy for killing white walkers. The children of the forest make their weapons out of dragon glass. Blades using Obsidian are sharper than steel but far more brittle and the Valyrians used to call obsidian frozen fire.

When the Children of the Forest don’t believe Bran’s protests, they continue with their plan and end up stabbing the man while Bran is still in his body – making him the Night King.

The Game of Thrones filmed a scene indicates that Bran may have been in the man’s body as he was turning into The Night King.

The angle that Bran wakes up in is the exact same as the man tied to the tree. This may have been done entirely coincidentally, or it could be a subtle hint dropped by the ‘Game of Thrones’ producers.

If we go all the way back to season six episode five, The Door, we see how the White Walkers are created.

Interestingly, Bran against the rock mirrors the Night King against the tree exactly, and the frame-to-frame transition between both Bran and the Night King’s eyes could be hinting at the fact that they are the same person.

Not convinced?

Well, when Leaf spoke to Bran and he asked her: ‘It was you? You made the White Walkers?’ she replied: ‘We were at war. We were being slaughtered. Our sacred trees cut down. We needed to defend ourselves.’

Bran then asks: ‘From who?’ To which Leaf replies: ‘From you.’

From ‘you’, as in – the Night King? Hmmm?

Something else that further supports this theory is the fact that the Night King is the only one who can actually touch Bran while he is warging.

The Night King’s psychic capabilities may reveal something about Bran’s involvement in the creation of White Walkers and the Night King.

Let’s see that Video which shows The First Night King

With only two episodes of this season left, we’re sure it will all be revealed soon. Then again, it is Game of Thrones, so maybe not.
