After consulting several doctors and specialist, Ali is finally diagnosed with a very rare form of muscular dystrophy.
Neuromusclar specialist Dr. Tsao sees Ali regularly and has a devastating prognosis for the family, he felt like Ali would lose most if not all of her ability to walk by age 7.
Dad Corey is never deterred by the doctor’s prediction though and declares that he KNOWS he will walk her down the aisle one day as she gets married!
Nonetheless Ali gets fitted for a power wheelchair and over time learns to operate it on her own. Twin sister Aleeah meanwhile starts taking cheerleading and playing other sports as it is found out that she does not have muscular dystrophy like her sister.

But so far, at age 8, little Ali is defying all of the odds as she still has the ability to walk, run and play without the use of her wheelchair for most of the day, and that isn’t all!
Leah posted this photo to her Instagram account showing BOTH daughters playing softball together!
It’s amazing to see Ali not let anything hold her back as she continues to only use her wheelchair sparingly!
Are you surprised to see Ali playing softball?
