A Fiery Contrail
A rocket dispatch from a Southern California Air Force base produced a searing contrail that could be seen all over Los Angeles Friday and had some social media users getting ready for an outsider intrusion.
The Mission
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Air Force Base at around 5:30 p.m. nearby time. Its central goal was to send 10 correspondences satellites into space.
What Exactly It Was
It was the rocket’s contrail of water vapour, lit up by the sun, that had apparently all of Los Angeles gazing upward in the sky.
