Stephen Hawking the famous astrophysicist who passed away yesterday was one of the greatest minds in the world. Despite being hit by the gruesome ALS disease the scientist still managed to derive greatest theories that changed the world of modern science. After Stephen was diagnosed with ALS he faced a lot of difficulties physically as well as mentally and landed in depression. However, he made the impossible possible and bet his 2-year deadline and lived until the age of 76. Unfortunately, the scientist also faced physical abuse at the home front. The (then) nurse reported that he was suffering from abuse and torture by the previous nurse and second wife Elaine Mason, who he married in 1995. A source close to him explained, “Mason gets angry and has thrown him on the bed where he kicks his limbs or hurts himself. She allowed him to slip down low in the bath so the water goes in the hole in his throat.”
