BBC has declared that they will air a Harry Potter documentary featuring an exclusive interview with JK Rowling to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The BBC 2 Harry Potter: A History of Magic documentary will go behind-the-scenes at the world’s biggest library, providing a closer look at some of the treasures on display from J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world.

The one-off special will air on BBC2 in association with the British Library’s upcoming Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition, which will run from 20th October 2017 until 28th February 2018 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

 According to a BBC Two press release:

The BBC documentary will highlight exhibition pieces as they’re being set up and explained, and with Rowling’s two cents on her previously archived notes.

What is so special about this documentary?

Famous fans will share readings of their favorite spells and potions. It will also have original drawings and notes from Rowling and illustrator Jim Kay.
