Tony Stark Almost Said “F*ck off” To Thanos In Avengers: Endgame.
We all love 3000 and the end game is one of the most marvelous Marvel movies till date. But behind the scenes of the movie, our Iron Man said f*ck off to Thanos! And Thanos didn't beat the hell out of him! Read the full story to discover what exactly happened!
Iron-Man: And you, F*ck Off.
Avengers: Endgame’s terrible ending obviously involved the heroic death of Iron-Man. Tony’s character comes full circle after 11 years as he declares “I am Iron Man” before snapping his fingers to defeat Thanos’ army. The very same phrase that ended the first Iron Man film and set up the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.
No, wait. “I am Iron-Man”
It has been mentioned in interviews that “I am Iron-Man” was a line that was added very late in the movie, it was shot during the post-production. The other lines that were tried were lines like “F*ck you” or “F*ck off Thanos”. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely had a laugh over the different ideas that they had.
Here is what the makers have to say…
“I think there was fuck you at one point. Didn’t he say fu*ck off? He may have said it…you do a lot of takes. Like can we really end all this on a complete swear? On a kiss my ass, Thanos.”
It’s unclear whether there was actually a version filmed with Stark telling Thanos to f*ck off, if it was an idea flung around between the filmmakers or if Robert Downey Jr. just decided to try it whilst on set during the different takes.
Iron-Man’s death was taken off as a shock and here is how the fans reacted…
Fans sign a petition to bring back Iron-Man.
More than 35,000 fans signed a petition. The petition argued that Tony deserved to come back fully alive. “Tony Stark was always ready to risk his life, suffer, and sacrifice himself for anyone, without ever receiving anything in return. Since the beginning, since he was a kid.”
TROLLED: “You fricking nuggets!”
Well, that’s a toughie for the Avengers, isn’t it?
Iron-Man: “Thanos, you have been bamboozled!”
Thanos be like wtf man you just stole my entire show nigga…
Here’s what Russo had to say about this reaction…
“Only Hulk was strong enough to do the snap without dying. We are still not sure whether Captain Marvel can also withstand all the power of Infinity Stones at once. Thor in this movie couldn’t do it. The reason we choose to let Iron Man do it, in the end, was because he was the closest one to Thanos at the time. In all the futures Doctor Strange foresees, Iron Man was the only one who could get close to Thanos and do the snap.”
