Union Pacific To Spend $550 million On New Rail Yard In Texas
Union Pacific Railroad reported Jan. 25 the organization began construction this month on a major rail yard near Hearne, Texas, a $550 million venture that is the biggest in the railroad's 103-year history. Union Pacific at first wanted to begin work in 2014, however, postponed construction, referring to changes in demand. It is expected to make in the vicinity of 500 and 550 construction jobs during two years of work.

Union Pacific said the project is expected to make up to 550 development related occupations that will be helping so many of the unemployed people.
A study by Texas A&M University’s Engineering Extension Service predicted the complete yard will contribute $260 million in annual outcome for Texas.
