10 Times Actors Couldn’t Stand Their Wardrobe That We All Loved.

We often love the way certain of our superheroes dress up in the movies but here is an insight on the way they actually feel after wearing those soothing-to-the-eye costumes.

1. George Clooney was embarrassed with the nipples on his Batman costume.

Batman and Robin  starring George Clooney wasn’t a huge success and Clooney admitted that he was not quite fond of the nipples that were designed on the batsuit. He quoted, “Batman was always cold, I guess”. It might have been the costume that caused the disaster amidst the other reasons.

2. Chadwick Boseman felt suffocated in his Black Panther suit.

He quoted, “It is unbreathable”. Black Panther  was released as an anti-Avengers movie and Boseman was really tensed that he was going to run out of air in the costume. Hot days were worse. He had to work on it and be patient until the shooting was complete.

3. Margot Robbie could not enjoy her burgers due to the tight costume.

Margot Robbie beautifully portrayed the role of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad.  One would assume that she enjoyed her costume as it was “sparkly and fun” but it was the opposite. Margot said that she had to do the “nudity thing” even though she didn’t want to. Apart from the costume being revealing and erotic, she couldn’t enjoy her lunch-time burgers.

4. Scarlett Johansson was itchy and sweaty as Black Widow.

Black Widow is an Avenger character loved by all the fans. Johansson said that even though she loved her character, the “love” for her costume was a whole different story. She compared the costume to a “sweaty pajama” as she was squished into it, it was so tight.

5. Robert Downey Jr. felt a little claustrophobic in his costume of Iron Man.

Robert Downey Jr. has played a lot of different roles but he is globally known for his role of Iron Man.  He does look like he put himself into an armor. Although he did confess that he did not feel claustrophobic all the time but he could not stand being in the costume for a long time.

6. Paul Bettany went deaf as Vision.

He said, “It is pretty painful, it’s uncomfortable”. He also said that he felt really lucky about getting this acting opportunity but living in this costume for 10 hours every day for weeks was really difficult. He said, “There is only this much of your face open to air”.

7. Tom Holland faced hydration and vision problems as Spider-Man.

Tom Holland was the latest Spider-Man and that the biggest milestone of his career, he admits it. But he is not a great fan of his costume. He also revealed that he would wear only a thong inside which made him really uncomfortable. But the biggest problem was him staying hydrated. The mask he wore did not have a mouth so water supply was a huge issue. They apparently let a pipe through his eye hole until the mouth to supply water.

8. Oscar Issac could barely breathe in his Apocalypse armor.

Isaac shared, during an interview, that his most frustrating moments during filming were when he desperately needed to cool down. He used to go in a tent with air condition between the scenes in order to get himself straight mentally. “I would do some acting and then go to my tent and try to breathe and not freak out that sweat was pouring into my ears and I couldn’t touch them. It was rough,” he admitted.

9. Michael Chiklis felt a great amount of physical discomfort as The Thing.

Michael Chiklis played the character of Ben Grimm aka the Thing in Marvel’s movie, Fantastic Four.  The costume caused him immense pain and discomfort. He said in an interview that the costume was the worst part but it was worth it.

10. Catwoman’s costume was psychologically challenging for Anne Hathway.

Hathaway described it as “a psychological terrorist.” Her biggest struggle was to actually fit into it. She said that she completely changed her life to be in that suit; “It dominated my year. I went into the gym for 10 months and didn’t come out,” she said in the same interview.
